TAKARATOMY's popular railway model toy series, "PLARAIL," has announced the latest collaboration product between "Shinkalion" and "Evangelion": the "SHINKALION Z 500 μ-SKY TYPE EVA," scheduled for release on December 4, 2021.
This marks the third collaboration between "Shinkalion" and "Evangelion New Theatrical Edition," following the first TV anime season and "Shinkalion the Movie: Godspeed ALFA-X." The "SHINKALION Z 500 μ-SKY TYPE EVA" will make its debut in the latest TV anime series, "Shinkalion Z." Its design is based on the Meitetsu 2000 series "μ-SKY" train, which featured an EVA Unit-01 livery as part of a 2020 "Evangelion" collaboration event with Nagoya Railroad!
The "SHINKALION Z 500 μ-SKY TYPE EVA" product includes a newly designed 3-car "SHINKALION Z 500 TYPE EVA" and a 1-car "μ-SKY TYPE EVA" conventional train. Both the proportions and articulation have been significantly improved compared to the "Shinkalion 500 TYPE EVA" released in 2017.
Both trains can be enjoyed in their train forms on separately sold tracks. After transformation, they can perform the signature "Z-Gattai" system from the sequel series "Shinkalion Z." This allows the SHINKALION 500 TYPE EVA robot form to combine with the μ-SKY TYPE EVA's transformed weapon mode, creating the even more powerful "SHINKALION Z 500 μ-SKY TYPE EVA!"
