Get ready for an Earth Combination! Japanese manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest entry in its popular Brave Series model kit line: the legendary Da-Garn X from "The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn"! The kit is scheduled for release in April 2022.
Many fans will instantly recognize Da-Garn. Produced by Sunrise, "The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn" first aired in 1992 and stands as the third installment in the iconic Brave Series. The story follows Seiji Takasugi, a fifth-grader chosen by the Earth's will, "Orin," to become the commander of the Braves. His mission is to awaken and lead his fellow heroes against the evil alien entity, Ohboss.

Da-Garn X is formed when the leader, Da-Garn, executes the "Earth Combination" with the Earth Fighter (forming the upper body) and the Earth Liner (forming the lower body), with Da-Garn itself becoming the waist. This powerful form, known in the show as the "Earth Combination Da-Garn X," is an all-terrain master, capable of combat on land, at sea, and in the air.
This Kotobukiya model kit, the seventh entry in their Brave Series line, stands approximately 170mm tall. While it is a non-transforming figure that doesn't replicate the full combination sequence, the kit heavily emphasizes articulation. Kotobukiya has engineered the figure to recreate a wide variety of dynamic poses straight from the anime. The accessory loadout is impressive, featuring five sets of interchangeable hands, the iconic "Da-Garn Blade," the powerful "Earth Cannon," and effect parts to display its ultimate attack, the "Breast Earth Buster."
