BANDAI SPIRITS' Tamashii Nations, a division renowned for its popular S.H.Figuarts collectible action figures, recently announced the latest additions to its Body-chan series: the "S.H.Figuarts Body-chan -Kentaro Yabuki- Edition DX SET Pale Orange Ver." and the Wireframe version featured in this article, the "S.H.Figuarts Body-chan -Kentaro Yabuki- Gray Color Ver."! This figure was priced at 4,950 JPY and was scheduled for release in April 2022.
Japanese manga artist Kentaro Yabuki made his official debut in 1999 with "Yamato Gensouki," serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump." Before his debut, he apprenticed under Takeshi Obata, working as an assistant on "Hikaru no Go." He is best known for his works "BLACK CAT" and the "To Love-Ru" series. Yabuki is celebrated for his exquisite drawing techniques that capture the charm of cute bishojo characters, often incorporating clever fan-service scenes to delight readers!

For this latest Body-chan release, Kentaro Yabuki-sensei himself was invited to participate in the design, sculpting the figure to match the alluring and sensual proportions characteristic of his artwork. The result is the highly anticipated "S.H.Figuarts Body-chan -Kentaro Yabuki- Wireframe Gray Color Ver.," standing approximately 135mm tall. This gray-colored figure features black wireframe lines, mimicking the foundational lines used in character sketching, allowing artists to more accurately grasp contours and movements when using it as a drawing reference.
Combining highly articulated joints with a wide range of motion, along with four pairs of interchangeable hands and three different wrist parts, the figure can strike a variety of incredibly flexible and dynamic poses. Furthermore, its voluptuous and rounded bust is specifically designed to help artists accurately depict the charming female curves that are a signature of Kentaro Yabuki-sensei's distinctive style!
