TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS, recently unveiled the prototype for their latest "Soul of Chogokin" series release: Shin Getter-1 from "Getter Robo Armageddon." A release date has yet to be announced.

The main mecha featured in the OVA anime "Getter Robo Armageddon," Shin Getter, was developed to protect Shin Dragon. Like previous Getter series machines, it boasts a 3-form transformation mechanism. Its primary combat form, Shin Getter-1, wields a massive scythe—a departure from its manga counterpart—and can execute powerful combination attacks alongside Shin Dragon. Following the 2013 release of the SR Chogokin version, this uniquely proportioned, imposing physique is finally making its debut in the Soul of Chogokin line!

The Soul of Chogokin Shin Getter-1 utilizes intricate sculpting and die-cast parts to faithfully recreate its exaggerated proportions, including its impressively bulky torso and limbs. It comes complete with massive wings and its signature scythe. Multiple articulation points allow for dynamic, powerful poses, and a special mechanism in the abdomen can even recreate the iconic stance for firing its devastating "Getter Beam." However, development is currently only about 40% complete, so fans will need to wait a bit longer for the full official reveal.
