After several prototype reveals, Japanese model maker Max Factory's PLAMAX brand, in collaboration with renowned illustrator AKIMAN, has officially announced the first product in their new "GODZ ORDER" bishoujo model kit series: "Yuri Godbuster," slated for an August 2022 release.
"GODZ ORDER" features characters and a world-building concept personally designed by AKIMAN. The core of this universe revolves around young female figures, adorned with sculptural steel wings and armor, known as Silhouette Dolls. These humanoid proxies serve as stand-ins for human life, with special hero-type Silhouette Dolls also existing to combat divine beings. They fight to protect their homeland in a "sword and magic world" built with advanced technology.
The first entry, "Yuri Godbuster," is produced at Good Smile Company's "Rakuzuki Factory" in Tottori Prefecture, Japan. It utilizes precisely sculpted multi-color molded parts. Three pre-painted face plates—a "standard face," a "shouting face," and a "closed-eyes face"—are included, faithfully capturing the character's essence as drawn by AKIMAN. Multiple PVC hand parts are also interchangeable.
The chest banner is a pre-painted PVC part, allowing for a more natural drape. For the skirt, two front parts are included: a "wide version" prioritizing aesthetic appearance and a "narrow version" for enhanced articulation. The unique part separation ensures minimal impact on leg movement, enabling beautiful high-kneeling poses.
Beyond her standard light armor form, Yuri can be equipped with various heavy armor pieces and armaments to recreate her fully armored state. Her distinctive leg units feature steel-like wings and an eagle head motif. Her arsenal includes two longswords, a short sword, the lightweight "Lily Shield," and the impressive "Lily Lance," measuring approximately 40 cm in length. The lance also boasts a transformation mechanism, allowing it to convert into a greatsword form.
