Following the release of DYNAZENON, Good Smile Company's MECHA SMILE brand has officially announced the latest addition to their MODEROID plastic model kit series: GRIDKNIGHT & GOLDBURN from the popular anime series "SSSS.DYNAZENON," slated for a May 2022 release.
This MODEROID release brings us the ally kaiju partner, GOLDBURN, who appears in the latter half of the story, alongside GRIDKNIGHT, the former foe turned ally from the previous series. The kits are molded in six distinct colors—gold, white, black, orange, dark blue, and clear purple—and include some pre-painted parts and decals. The resulting models stand approximately 10 cm tall, faithfully reproducing their on-screen appearances with impressive articulation.
GRIDKNIGHT features highly articulated joints, while GOLDBURN boasts a transformation gimmick, allowing it to convert into a shield for GRIDKNIGHT to wield or combine with it to form the flight mode, "GRIDBURN KNIGHT." Furthermore, it can combine with the separately sold "DYNAZENON" to recreate the ultimate form from the series, "KAISER GRIDKNIGHT" (超合體龍王)!
