Japanese hobby company HobbyJapan's figure brand AMAKUNI has announced its latest product from "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters," the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, slated for release in December 2022.
In the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters" anime, Seto Kaiba's signature monster, the "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon," is a formidable Fusion Monster summoned by combining three "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" cards with the "Polymerization" Spell Card. It boasts an impressive 4500 ATK and 3800 DEF. Early, unused concepts for the card even included effects like attacking three times per turn or requiring all three heads to be defeated to destroy it. While not practical in today's competitive meta, its iconic anime appearances and nostalgic value keep it incredibly popular!
AMAKUNI's "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" PVC completed statue stands at a commanding 35 cm tall. The entire sculpt and paintwork are meticulously based on the original card artwork, capturing the fierce and powerful three-headed visage of the Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon. Every detail, from the various scales, membranes, claws, and spines across its body, is finely rendered. The paint application further enhances its glossy texture and dynamic light and shadow effects, with a display base supporting the main body to recreate its majestic flying pose.
