BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's division, TAMASHII NATIONS, known for its "PROPLICA" series that brings fictional props to life with cutting-edge technology, recently unveiled prototypes for two new Nichirin Blades from "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba": the "Nichirin Blade (Inosuke Hashibira)" and the "Nichirin Blade (Giyu Tomioka)." Release dates are yet to be announced.
The PROPLICA Nichirin Blade series crafts these iconic weapons in an approximate 1:1 scale, meticulously recreating every decorative detail and texture seen in the anime, from the stitching and saya to the tsuba, blade pattern, and the "Destroyer of Demons" engraving. Each blade also features built-in sound playback functions, allowing fans to trigger famous lines, background music, and Full Focus Breathing sound effects with the press of a button.
The newly revealed prototypes for the "Nichirin Blade (Inosuke Hashibira)" and the "Nichirin Blade (Giyu Tomioka)" continue the series' tradition of highly accurate sculptural details. Giyu Tomioka's Nichirin Blade faithfully reproduces its distinctive blue hue. However, Inosuke Hashibira famously wields two blades for his "Beast Breathing" style, leaving fans to wonder if the final product will include both swords or if collectors will need to purchase two units.
