Following the releases of Iron Man, Iron Spider, Captain America, Wolverine, and Deadpool, Sentinel's acclaimed "Fighting Armor" Marvel action figure series is set to unleash its newest entry: the Fighting Armor Black Panther. This highly anticipated figure will be priced at 12,100 JPY and is scheduled for a July 2022 release.
The "Fighting Armor" series is built upon the original concept of, "What if Tony Stark designed armor for the Avengers?" Based on their comic book appearances, Marvel's iconic superheroes are reinterpreted with Sentinel's signature sleek, Japanese-inspired style, resulting in powerful armored designs that perfectly capture each character's essence. Mecha designer Mitsunari Daiten is responsible for the overall design of the series, with Hiroyuki Komatsubara (studioRECKLESS) handling the prototype sculpting and supervision, bringing these fresh new armored looks to life.
The seventh entry, the "Fighting Armor Black Panther" action figure, stands approximately 165mm tall. This figure reimagines Black Panther's understated black Vibranium suit by injecting a wealth of metallic and mechanical elements. The armor's exterior maintains Sentinel's characteristic intricate sculpting and multi-layered paint application. Die-cast parts are utilized throughout the main body, giving the armor a robust and substantial feel. His signature silver claws are rendered even sharper, and multiple interchangeable hand parts allow for a variety of dynamic attack poses. The figure also includes a Wakandan spear, perfect for recreating thrilling battle stances when paired with a display stand.
