Following the release of the Ghost, BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has today (20th) announced the latest addition to their "HG (High Grade)" model kit series from the original anime "AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline." The "HG 1/72 AMAIM Ghost Mk-II" is slated for release in April 2022.
The Ghost, a mysterious, all-black unmanned AMAIM with unknown affiliations, has been observed indiscriminately attacking military territories across Asia and North America. It boasts incredible performance, surpassing most other AMAIM units, and can even bypass authentication systems to immediately equip and utilize parts from other machines. After sustaining damage in a battle against Yatagarasu, it returns in its enhanced "Ghost Mk-II" form. This upgraded version features a powerful "ECM" (Electronic Countermeasures) device, a pair of hidden auxiliary arms on its back, and the ability to launch six cables from its forearms to pierce enemy armor and restrict movement.
The "HG 1/72 AMAIM Ghost Mk-II" is based on the original Ghost kit, featuring new parts to faithfully recreate its symmetrical head and arm designs, as well as the hidden auxiliary arms on its back with their deployment mechanism. Both the fingers and foot claws boast independent articulation, allowing for dynamic and powerful poses. Accessories include interchangeable hand parts and six metallic wires to replicate the forearm cable launch state.
