Japanese figure manufacturer Good Smile Company today announced the latest additions to its affordable pre-painted figure series, "POP UP PARADE," featuring characters from the classic fighting manga "Baki," which celebrates its 30th anniversary. The new figures, including Baki Hanma, Doppo Orochi, and Kaoru Hanayama, are slated for release in May 2022.
While the "POP UP PARADE" series may not boast the intricate detailing of high-end PVC scale figures that often cost tens of thousands of yen and take over half a year to release, the overall quality remains consistently strong. These latest "POP UP PARADE" figures maintain the line's collector-friendly 17-18cm height, featuring exquisite sculpting and paintwork. The series brings to life three iconic characters: protagonist Baki Hanma; the founder of Shinshinkai Karate, Doppo Orochi, known as the "God of War"; and the leader of the Hanayama Group yakuza, Kaoru Hanayama, famously dubbed "Japan's Strongest Fighter."
