US toy manufacturer Mezco Toyz is set to release a new "Red Pyramid Thing" action figure under its 1/12 scale ONE:12 Collective line, based on the popular game "Silent Hill 2." The figure is priced at $100.00 USD and is expected to ship in November 2022.
The Red Pyramid Thing (also known as Pyramid Head or Red Pyramid) is an iconic enemy monster from the second game in the "Silent Hill" series, "Silent Hill 2." It has also appeared in other entries in the series and the film adaptation "Silent Hill: Revelation." Designed by Masahiro Ito, the character is instantly recognizable by its executioner's triangular metal helmet, which obscures its face, and its massive great knife. Emitting pained groans, the Red Pyramid Thing creates an intense sense of dread, solidifying its place as one of the most feared classic monsters in gaming history.
The "ONE:12 COLLECTIVE Red Pyramid Thing" action figure meticulously recreates the monster's blood-stained and grimy cloth outfit, along with its rusted, conical helmet. Standing approximately 17 cm (6.7 inches) tall, the figure boasts over 20 points of articulation, allowing for dynamic posing. It comes equipped with its terrifying metal Great Spear and Great Sword weapons, multiple interchangeable hands, and blood-splatter effect parts to recreate its brutal rampage from the game. Furthermore, the set includes gruesome severed head and hand human body parts, as well as nine horrifying Creepers, bringing the eerie and twisted atmosphere to life and fully capturing the nightmarish scenes from "Silent Hill 2."
