Japanese model kit manufacturer Kotobukiya, in collaboration with illustrator En Morikura, recently unveiled the unpainted prototype for the latest addition to their everyday bishojo model kit series, "Sousai Shojo Teien." This new release, "Gennai Ao (Wakaba Girls' High School Winter Uniform)," hails from the "Frame Arms Girl" anime adaptation. A release date has yet to be announced.
The "Frame Arms Girl" TV anime, adapted from Kotobukiya's popular model kit series of the same name, premiered in 2017. Its protagonist, Gennai Ao, is a cheerful and expressive high school student. One day, she mistakenly opens a misdelivered package and becomes the world's sole owner of "Gourai." Despite her complete lack of knowledge about models, she and the petite Frame Arms Girls embark on a fun-filled daily life.
The "Sousai Shojo Teien Gennai Ao (Wakaba Girls' High School Winter Uniform)" finally brings this popular protagonist to life as a model kit, utilizing Kotobukiya's newly developed articulated body. Her overall design is based on the anime's character sheets, faithfully recreating her memorable winter uniform, complete with flexible articulation throughout the figure.
