Bandai Candy, the Japanese candy toy division of Bandai, recently announced that the popular "Super Robot Wars OG ORIGINAL COLLECTION" series will launch its third volume in Fall 2022. The announcement also teased a silhouette of one of the upcoming mechs.
To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the "Super Robot Wars" video game series, Bandai Candy has been releasing several classic original mechs from "Super Robot Wars OG" as part of this collection. These figures stand approximately 60mm tall, featuring a super-deformed (SD) style similar to the CONVERGE series. Each boasts sharp, cool designs, rich metallic paint applications, and limited articulation in the neck, shoulders, elbows, and wrists, allowing for dynamic poses with their signature weapon accessories!
The mech silhouette revealed this time is none other than the popular ASTRANAGANT, piloted by Ingram and prominently featured in the "Super Robot Wars Alpha" series. This jet-black, devilish-looking unit was developed by combining the latest technologies from major factions, including Earth's SRX Project, and is hailed as the "Ultimate Humanoid Mobile Weapon." It possesses game-breaking abilities such as spatial warping, time travel, and parallel world transference.
The remaining three mech lineup additions will be announced at a later date.
