Japanese animation studio Studio Pierrot is set to release the "Yu Yu Hakusho Minifigure Collection Vol.1" blind box series, featuring six different designs. Each blind box will retail for 550 JPY and is slated for a June 2022 release!
The classic manga series "Yu Yu Hakusho" kicks off with protagonist Yusuke Urameshi dying in a car accident and unexpectedly becoming a "Spirit Detective." During his missions, he befriends the demon fox Yoko Kurama (Shuichi Minamino) and Hiei, who came to the human world from the Demon World. Alongside his human best friend Kazuma Kuwabara from Sarayashiki Junior High, they tackle problems involving demons from both the Demon World and the Human World, becoming formidable allies. The series eventually shifted towards a hot-blooded fighting manga style. Even years after its conclusion, "Yu Yu Hakusho" remains incredibly popular and influential.
The "Yu Yu Hakusho Minifigure Collection Vol.1" blind box figures stand approximately 5 cm tall, faithfully recreating the series' characters in an adorable chibi style. This first wave includes six fan-favorite characters: protagonist Yusuke Urameshi, Kazuma Kuwabara, Hiei, Kurama, Yoko Kurama, and the handsome boy form of Koenma. Their lively expressions and distinctive designs are incredibly charming. More characters are expected to join the lineup in future waves, giving "Yu Yu Hakusho" fans even more to collect!
