BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., recently showcased a prototype of the latest entry in "The King of Braves GaoGaiGar" series, "Final GaoGaiGar," at the "Super Brave Exhibition 2." This new model kit is part of the "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT" line, which evolved from the popular "SUPER MINIPLA" series, and is slated for release in June 2022.
Final GaoGaiGar made its debut in the climactic battle of "Hakai-Oh: GaoGaiGar vs. Betterman," serving as the ultimate and strongest King of Braves against Chosei-Oh Betterman J-Ark. After recovering the Genesis GaoGaiGar, which had been purified from its Hakai-Oh state, from Triple Zero, Genesis GaoGaiGar remained inoperable due to a damaged control center, even after repairs. It was then piloted by a fusion of seven key characters: Guy Shishioh, Mamoru Amami, Mikoto Utsugi, Renais Kerdif-Shishioh, Kaido Ikumi, Keita Aono, and Hino Akamatsu. This fusion granted it seven times the courage of its predecessors, allowing it to equip the incredibly massive "Goldion Armor" and unleash its final special attack, the "Goldion Crusher."
For the main body of "SMP Final GaoGaiGar," the kit largely reuses parts from the previous SUPER MINIPLA Genesis GaoGaiGar. It includes various weapon accessories seen in earlier releases. Only the back wings are newly sculpted, faithfully recreating the "GGG" emblem formed by gold, green, and blue at the wingtips.
The "Goldion Armor," comprised of six G-BLOCKs and golden plasma wing effects, along with the "Goldion Crusher," which is even larger than the main body, are entirely new molds. Once equipped, the figure stands an impressive 30 cm tall and spans 50 cm wide. The massive Goldion Crusher, resembling an adult male's hand, even features a rotating mechanism for its green sections.
