MEDICOM TOY, the renowned Japanese toy company, is set to release its latest addition to the 6-inch MAFEX action figure series: the "T-800 Terminator" from the classic sci-fi film "The Terminator"! This highly anticipated figure is scheduled for a November 2022 release, offering collectors the chance to own a super cool, young Arnold Schwarzenegger in action figure form.
Among the various Terminators developed by Skynet to hunt down humanity, the T-800 was the first model capable of infiltrating human society. Thanks to its realistic skin, crafted from living tissue, the T-800 could bleed and sweat just like a normal person. Furthermore, T-800 units possessed a degree of self-awareness, making it incredibly difficult to discern their non-human nature without significant insight. In the 1984 film "The Terminator," the T-800 portrayed by Arnold Schwarzenegger was sent by Skynet from 2029 back to 1984 Los Angeles, with the primary mission to terminate Sarah Connor, the mother of the unborn future human resistance leader, John Connor.
Standing approximately 16 cm tall, this figure faithfully recreates the T-800's iconic appearance from "The Terminator," complete with its signature leather jacket, boots, and khaki pants. It includes three distinct head sculpts: one with sunglasses, one without, and a battle-damaged version that reveals its menacing endoskeleton beneath the torn flesh. To fully capture the Terminator's destructive combat poses from the film, five different firearms are included, alongside multiple interchangeable hands and full body articulation. Even simply posing him walking with a submachine gun looks incredibly cool! Beyond the accessories, the sculpting of the hair, the intricate wrinkles on the leather jacket, and the finely detailed zipper engravings are all excellently executed, making this a truly exciting release!
