"DAIZA, GO!" Good Smile Company is set to launch the third entry in its "V.S.O.F." (Vinyl Shogun Omega Force) super robot sofubi series. This latest addition, also from the legendary Go Nagai, is none other than the protagonist robot from "UFO Robot Grendizer," the mighty Grendizer vinyl figure!
"UFO Robot Grendizer," known in some regions as "Goldorak" or "Grandizer," is the third installment in the iconic Mazinger series, created by the renowned manga artist Go Nagai, also the mastermind behind "Mazinger Z."
The story follows Duke Fleed, the prince of Planet Fleed. After his homeworld is devastated by the invading Vega Alliance, he escapes to Earth. There, he's rescued by Dr. Umon, director of the Space Science Laboratory, who adopts him under the alias Daisuke Umon. Though he initially sought a peaceful life in hiding, the Vega forces eventually target Earth. Spurred by Koji Kabuto, Duke Fleed confronts his past trauma, once again piloting his personal mecha, Grendizer, to fight alongside Koji and their allies against the invaders.

As the third release in the V.S.O.F. sofubi series, Grendizer boasts an excellent sculpt and vibrant colors. Compared to Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger, Grendizer's design features more distinct and intricate color separation, which is rendered with exquisite paintwork. Standing approximately 24 cm tall, Grendizer will look incredibly imposing when displayed alongside its fellow Mazinger robots. Fans of the Mazinger series won't want to miss this one!
