The popular model kit brand PLAMAX, from Japan's Max Factory toy company, recently announced the latest addition to its "Macross Head Collection" series: the "YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie (Alto Saotome Custom)," slated for release in July 2022.
The PLAMAX Head Collection line features highly detailed 1/20 scale model kits of iconic fighter jets from the beloved sci-fi anime series "Macross." Once assembled, these kits boast an impressive size of approximately 30 cm, meticulously recreating the internal cockpit structure and including decals with various aircraft markings. This latest release spotlights the "YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie," piloted by "Macross Frontier" protagonist Alto Saotome.
The "PLAMAX MF-53 minimum factory Head Collection YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie (Alto Saotome Custom)" measures approximately 34 cm in total length upon completion. It utilizes multi-color parts to accurately depict the white armor, black lines, and red canards. The clear cockpit canopy is detachable, allowing for a clear view of the highly detailed interior. This kit is also compatible with other 1/20 scale "Macross" characters from the PLAMAX minimum factory series.
