Max Factory's popular model kit brand, PLAMAX, recently announced the upcoming release of the latest entry in their Macross "Cockpit Collection" series: the "YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie (Maximilian Jenius Custom)," slated for a July 2022 launch.
The PLAMAX "Cockpit Collection" is a series of highly detailed model kits that recreate the cockpits of popular fighter jets from the "Macross" sci-fi anime franchise in an impressive 1/20 scale. Once assembled, these kits boast a substantial size of approximately 30cm, meticulously reproducing the internal cockpit structure and including decals with various aircraft markings. This latest release features the blue Valkyrie, the beloved machine piloted by Mirage's grandfather, Maximilian Jenius, during his reappearance in "Macross Delta the Movie: Absolute LIVE!!!!!!".
The overall sculpt of this "PLAMAX MF-54 minimum factory Cockpit Collection YF-29 Durandal Valkyrie (Maximilian Jenius Custom)" is essentially identical to the Alto Saotome version. It utilizes blue, white, and black colored parts to faithfully recreate Max's characteristic color scheme. The transparent cockpit canopy is detachable, allowing for a clear view of the highly detailed interior. This kit is also compatible with other 1/20 scale "PLAMAX minimum factory Macross" series character figures.
