Bandai Candy's Candy Toy Division, known for its "SHODO SUPER" series which condenses excellent sculpts, articulation, and paintwork into a 10cm palm-sized format, has announced its latest release from "Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger." Following the Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger set, the new "Rouki" figure is slated for a June 2022 release.
Rouki, a powerful antagonist from the early part of the series, was originally Ogami Tsukimaro, a Gaoranger from a thousand years ago. To defeat Hyakki Maru, he donned the "Dark Wolf Mask," but his body and mind were consumed by evil energy, transforming him into Rouki. Before losing control entirely, he asked his comrades to seal him away. A millennium later, upon his unsealing, he had completely lost his former self, becoming a formidable vengeful spirit standing against the Gaorangers.
The "SHODO SUPER Rouki" figure stands approximately 10 cm tall, featuring intricate detailing. Its dark, heavy armor texture is faithfully recreated with multiple metallic paint applications. The figure maintains articulation in the neck and limbs, with ball joints on the side skirt armor to enhance leg poseability. In addition to various interchangeable hand parts, Rouki comes with two impressive weapons: the "Crescent Sword" and the "Magic Flute," used for summoning his Beast Monsters. This figure can also be displayed alongside the separately sold "SMP GaoHunter"!
