Good Smile Company Unveils Nendoroid Geralt from "The Witcher: Ronin"

Japanese toy manufacturer Good Smile Company, known for its popular Nendoroid figure series, is set to release a Ronin-style version of protagonist Geralt from the game-derived manga "The Witcher: Ronin" in August 2022.

Geralt of Rivia, the iconic protagonist of "The Witcher" series, takes on a new identity as a wandering samurai in the official spin-off manga "The Witcher: Ronin." This original comic follows Geralt as he explores a Japan-inspired land, searching for the legendary "Nightmare of the White Snow"—the Yuki-onna. The project was successfully crowdfunded on Kickstarter by CD Projekt RED in 2021, raising an impressive €678,000 (approximately $800,000 USD), which was 7.5 times its initial goal.

The manga itself is packed with content, featuring a 100-page full-color main story, three short side stories totaling 45 pages, and 10 pages of behind-the-scenes production details. It was originally slated for release in January 2022.

This Nendoroid perfectly captures Geralt's Ronin appearance from the manga. While his scarred expression remains familiar, his overall look transforms him into a dashing samurai wielding two swords. The figure comes with two interchangeable face plates: a fierce "gritting teeth" expression for combat and a subtly "smiling" expression. Additional accessories include clear effect parts for the "Yrden" and "Axii" Signs, allowing fans to recreate Geralt casting his iconic spells. Fans of "The Witcher" will definitely want to add this unique Geralt to their collection.
