Bandai Spirits Unveils New 1/35 Scale Batmobile Model Kit from "The Batman" (2022)

Following their popular "1989 Batmobile (Batman Ver.)" and "2005 Batmobile (Batman Begins Ver.)" releases based on DC Comics, Bandai Spirits' HOBBY Division is set to launch their latest "1/35 SCALE Batmobile (The Batman Ver.)" model kit. This 1/35 scale assembly model will retail for 4,400 JPY and was originally scheduled for release in March 2022.

"The Batman," the American neo-noir superhero film released in March 2022, is a reboot adapted from the eponymous DC Comics character. Set in a different universe from the DC Extended Universe, the film is directed by Matt Reeves and stars Robert Pattinson as a new iteration of Batman. It follows Bruce Wayne in his second year in Gotham City as he discovers that corruption remains rampant and crime is on the rise, marking the early stages of his career as the Caped Crusader.

The "1/35 SCALE Batmobile (The Batman Ver.)" model kit faithfully replicates the all-new Batmobile design from "The Batman" movie. It captures the retro, boxy body lines reminiscent of earlier comic book iterations, with the front bumper, air intake, and the intricate mechanical structure of the rear jet nozzle all precisely reproduced. The sleek body features matte molded parts, while the tires are made of soft resin, realistically depicting the tread patterns. The front wheels are also steerable.
