Japanese figure maker GOOD SMILE COMPANY has, after many years, announced a new product from the game "Xenoblade Chronicles 2," following their releases of Pyra and Mythra. The latest reveal is the "Nia 1/7 Scale Figure," slated for release in June 2023.
Nia, one of the main heroines, is a young girl with adorable cat ears who serves as the party's healer and sarcastic foil. In the early parts of the story, Nia's actions were no different from a typical Driver. However, the plot continuously hinted at her body being unusual, and it wasn't until later that her true identity was revealed: a special Blade, a "Flesh Eater," fused with a human. She possesses powerful healing abilities, capable of rapidly regenerating cells.
The "Nia 1/7 Scale Figure" is based on a brand-new illustration drawn by character designer Masatsugu Saito, meticulously bringing Nia's awakened Blade form to life. The figure features delicately sculpted dynamic twin-tail hair and multi-layered costume details, painted with a rich palette of pearlescent white, metallic colors, and more, creating a striking luster and texture. The sword, diverging from its in-game design, uses clear materials to create a flowing water effect, representing Nia's water element, while blooming branches are incorporated to symbolize her healing abilities.
