Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya today announced the upcoming release of their latest pre-painted complete figure, the "Megami Device Shura Ninja 2/1 Scale Figure," based on their original "Megami Device" model kit series, slated for August 2022.
The "Shura" series mecha from "Megami Device" were designed by renowned Japanese illustrator Nidy-2D-. The initial Ninja and Archer units featured red and white armor schemes, combining traditional Japanese elements like bows, katanas, shurikens, and wakizashis with mechanical structures. Their voluptuous and appealing base bodies were also a key factor in their popularity, leading to numerous derivative and enhanced versions.
The "Megami Device Shura Ninja 2/1 Scale Figure" is based on a brand-new illustration by Nidy-2D-. Every aspect, from the sculpt to the paintwork, has been meticulously supervised. Compared to the original model kit, this figure boasts twice the height and eight times the volume, with even richer and more intricate detailing. Both her curvaceous physique and the mechanical textures of her weaponry are rendered with exceptional quality.
Furthermore, various interchangeable parts are included for her left leg, left hip, both hands, and hand armor, allowing her to be displayed in a less-equipped "Prone Mode," reminiscent of a dakimakura cover. A soft, felt base mat is also thoughtfully included to prevent paint damage.
