Chinese premium anime statue brand Light Year Studio, having secured official licensing for "Naruto Shippuden," is releasing a 1/4 scale full-body statue of the popular character, "Second Hokage Tobirama Senju." Available in two versions, Collector's Edition and Deluxe Edition, with a combined limited run of 688 pieces. The statues are expected to ship in Q4 2022.
Tobirama Senju, the younger brother of the "God of Shinobi" Hashirama Senju, served as the Second Hokage of Konohagakure. He made immense contributions to the village's founding and political diplomacy, establishing the Anbu and the Konoha Ninja Academy, thereby laying the groundwork for the village. Known for his cautious nature, he was highly wary of the Uchiha clan. He was also the master of Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura, among others. Tobirama was a master of Water Release ninjutsu, capable of performing high-level Water Style techniques even in areas without water. He and his brother Hashirama were revered as the strongest shinobi.
The "Second Hokage Tobirama Senju - Collector's Edition" 1/4 scale full-body statue immortalizes Tobirama during the Fourth Great Ninja War, where he unleashed his self-created, infinite explosive ninjutsu, the Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags. Reanimated via Edo Tensei, his face bears cracks, and he is depicted holding explosive tags amidst a flurry of explosions. His resolute gaze, combined with a single hand sign, conveys the Will of Fire. His blue armor is sculpted with dynamic battle damage and appears to be swept up by the explosive ground currents, capturing the intensity and full tension of combat.
Additionally, the "Second Hokage Tobirama Senju - Deluxe Edition" 1/4 scale full-body statue includes interchangeable parts for the "Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique," recreating the terrifying and iconic water dragon. Standing an impressive 73 cm tall, the transparent water dragon rises from his feet, majestically coiling around him. Built-in lighting effects further enhance its depth and color variations. This edition also comes with an alternate head sculpt depicting his appearance before his reanimation, restoring his cool and collected demeanor.
