The highly anticipated new television anime series, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," is set to premiere in October 2022. Today, June 29th, Bandai officially unveiled the protagonist's Gundam mobile suit, alongside two additional mobile suits slated to appear in the series' prequel. Excitingly, all three designs are confirmed for future release as HG 1/144 Gunpla model kits, with specific release dates to be announced.
A brief promotional animation for "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury" has already been released, offering fans a glimpse of the red-haired protagonist looking back at the camera, with the protagonist's mobile suit, GUNDAM AERIAL, powering up in the background. While the plot synopsis and world-building details are yet to be revealed, the prequel, "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury PROLOGUE," introduces two new mobile suits: GUNDAM LFRITH and BEGUIR-BEU. These prequel designs are expected to be showcased at various Gundam-related events worldwide this summer.
