Japanese toy company Kotobukiya's "ARTFX J" series, known for its dynamic sculpts of Japanese anime, manga, and game characters, has announced its latest release: the Tengen Uzui 1/8 scale pre-painted figure! This follows previous popular "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" releases including Tanjiro Kamado, Nezuko Kamado, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, Giyu Tomioka, Kyojuro Rengoku, and Shinobu Kocho. The figure is slated for an October 2022 release.
Standing approximately 23.3 cm tall, this piece perfectly captures the Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui, in a dynamic demon-slaying moment. He's depicted with a low center of gravity, drawing his twin blades in a cool, crossed-arm pose. His muscular arms and bulging veins are meticulously sculpted, while his hair, diamond headpiece, and the white ribbons behind him are rendered to convey a sense of motion, enhancing the overall speed and dynamism of the sculpt. Intricate character details, such as the red floral makeup around his left eye, the carvings on his arm rings, his painted fingernails, and the vibrant colors of his Nichirin Blade's tsuba, are all faithfully recreated. His calm and composed expression further underscores his strength and confidence as a Hashira.
