BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division recently announced the upcoming "HG 1/72 MAILeS Byakuchi (F.G.E. Color)" from the "AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline FrostFlower" side story, joining the "HG AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline" model kit series, with a scheduled release in July 2022.
The MAILeS Byakuchi is a unit sharing a design lineage with the Kenbu, Reiki, and Jogan. Within the "AMAIM Warrior at the Borderline FrostFlower" side story, it was initially under the possession of the Federation of Great Eurasia (F.G.E.). However, during a covert transport operation, the unit was successfully seized by the Hokkaido resistance organization, "Borderline Aurora." The side story's protagonist, Hojo Kai, was the first to discover the unit and subsequently registered as its pilot.
The "HG 1/72 MAILeS Byakuchi (F.G.E. Color)" is based on the previously released standard Byakuchi kit. Its primary colors have been updated to sand yellow and military green, perfectly capturing the robust military aesthetic from its tenure with the Federation of Great Eurasia. Beyond the existing 60mm Portable Machine Gun (Multi-Magazine Type), Quad Missile Launcher, and General-Purpose Portable Shield, this release also includes newly molded parts for a Machete, Multi-Purpose Launcher, and Grenade Launcher, providing a comprehensive arsenal.
