Japanese prize figure distributor Furyu's high-quality figure brand F:NEX today announced the latest product from the popular manga "Made in Abyss," the "Nanachi 1/1 Scale Life-Size Figure," scheduled for release in September 2023, with a suggested retail price of 484,000 JPY (tax included).
Nanachi is a "Narehate" (Hollow) cursed by the Abyss, who, along with her friend Mitty, secluded herself on the fourth layer of the Abyss to escape Lord of Dawn Bondrewd's control. Nanachi has long ears and is covered in thick fur, appearing like a hybrid of a small girl and a rabbit. She is highly knowledgeable, skilled in surgery and pharmacology, and possesses a mature and steady personality, always willing to help others, though her cooking skills might be more terrifying than the Abyss itself. After freeing Mitty with the power of the "Incinerator," she joined Riko and Reg on their journey to explore the Abyss.
The "Nanachi 1/1 Scale Life-Size Figure" boasts an impressive height of 155 cm. Crafted from PVC and FRP materials, it faithfully recreates her anime appearance, with meticulously sculpted individual hairs to capture Nanachi's fluffy look. From her rabbit-like ears to her paw-padded hands and tail that drapes to the floor, every detail is incredibly adorable. The helmet, pants, and other costume elements are also sculpted with varying textures, depicting rough, shell-like patterns, fabric stitching, and wrinkles. In addition to gradient paintwork that expresses color and light and shadow, the helmet's eye parts are made with transparent components to enhance realism.
If the size is too large or the price too high, F:NEX also offers a 1/4 scale version as an alternative. This version's sculpt and paintwork are essentially identical to the 1/1 scale, differing only in its use of PVC and ABS materials. It stands at a mere 39 cm tall and is priced at just 84,700 JPY (tax included), making it a more accessible and affordable option compared to the 1/1 version.
