Chinese figure manufacturer AniGift recently unveiled the painted prototype of their highly anticipated new product, the "Sword Maiden 1/7 Scale Figure," from the light novel adapted anime "Goblin Slayer." The suggested retail price is 24,200 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in late August 2023.
"Goblin Slayer" (ゴブリンスレイヤー) is a dark fantasy light novel series created by Japanese web novelist Kumo Kagyu and illustrated by Noboru Kannatuki. The story revolves around an adventurer who "only slays goblins." The man known as "Goblin Slayer" rose to Silver Rank (the third highest rank) solely by subjugating goblins. He accepts any goblin subjugation quest, regardless of the reward, using any means necessary, tirelessly dedicating himself to eradicating goblins.
In the story, the High Priestess of the Supreme God, Sword Maiden (剣の乙女), was once captured and brutalized by goblins, losing her virginity. In addition to the lasting trauma that left her eyes only able to perceive outlines, her heart was also scarred, rendering her unable to fight goblins again.
The "AniGift Sword Maiden 1/7 Scale Figure" faithfully recreates the Sword Maiden's golden, knee-length hair and her eyes, which are covered by a black cloth due to impaired vision. Dressed in sheer fabric that reveals her skin, the Sword Maiden's beautiful and voluptuous physique is on full display! Adorned with luxurious gold ornaments inlaid with rubies, she also wields her Scale Sword, symbolizing justice and law, recreated with metallic paintwork, adding a touch of rigidity amidst her softness. Furthermore, an interchangeable head sculpt without the eye patch is included, revealing her striking blue eyes and a beautiful, alluring face, making it highly anticipated!
