The popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts," released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company, recently announced the cancellation of the previously announced "The Amazing Spider-Man" (アメイジング・スパイダーマン) product. It will be re-released as a "Specification Change Version (仕様変更版)" and is scheduled for release in June 2023.
Updated on February 3, 2023:
The main body of the "S.H.Figuarts The Amazing Spider-Man (Specification Change Version)" is essentially the same as the earlier version, standing approximately 15.4 cm tall. It faithfully recreates the red and blue form-fitting suit, the intricately sculpted web patterns, and the black spider emblem on the chest. With its full range of articulation and various web-slinging effect parts, dynamic and intense battle poses can be achieved. However, the unmasked head sculpt of actor "Andrew Garfield," the removed mask part, and the interchangeable hand part holding the mask have been canceled. The price has also been adjusted from the original 8,800 JPY to 7,700 JPY (tax included).
▼ Many collectors who were eagerly anticipating the "Andrew Garfield" head sculpt will unfortunately no longer see it!
