Japan's Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) toy company's pre-painted figure brand "ARTFX" announced today (19th) its latest product from the Star Wars series "Obi-Wan Kenobi", the "Purge Trooper" (パージ・トルーパー) 1/7 scale PVC pre-painted figure! It is scheduled for release in May 2023.
In the Star Wars lore, "Purge Troopers" are a specialized unit under the command of the Imperial Inquisitors, dedicated to eliminating Jedi who survived "Order 66". Their full body armor and equipment feature a striking red and black color scheme, exuding a formidable presence when engaging in combat; This figure stands approximately 27.6 cm tall and is sculpted in the Purge Trooper's combat-ready pose, holding a blaster with both hands. In addition to meticulously detailing the helmet, armor, backpack, and equipment belt's intricate mechanisms, the sculpted patterns on the inside of the kama (skirt) are also exceptionally well-rendered! According to Kotobukiya's official website, the helmet's visor lenses are crafted from clear parts, promising an impressive visual effect in the final product.
