To commemorate the broadcast of "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," Japanese 7-ELEVEN convenience stores announced a collaboration event with the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, launching a series of original Gundam merchandise starting November 1, 2022. Among these, the highly popular Gunpla model kit line will also release a limited edition "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Strike Gundam (7-ELEVEN Limited Color)," scheduled for release on November 11, 2022.
The "ENTRY GRADE 1/144 Strike Gundam (7-ELEVEN Limited Color)" is based on the previously released standard version kit, continuing the series' features of easy assembly and excellent part separation and color molding. The entire model is composed of only 79 parts, with molded colors reproducing details from the head and torso to the limbs. The runner also features an intuitive top-to-bottom arrangement of parts, making it a very beginner-friendly design for children and novices alike.
This limited edition, however, replaces all molded colors with a combination of red, orange, white, and green, reflecting the 7-ELEVEN brand image, creating a vibrant color scheme distinct from the original design. The product also features an outer box design printed with a large 7-ELEVEN logo, and water-slide decals with 7-ELEVEN logos and other patterns, making it even more commemorative with its abundant 7-ELEVEN elements. Once completed, its flexible waist and limb joints allow for dynamic posing, showcasing cool combat stances with its two Armor Schneiders, beam rifle, and shield.
