Following the Gamera (1995) release from the popular soft vinyl toy 'MOVIE MONSTER' series, issued by Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., the latest product, "Gamera (1996)," from the film 'Gamera 2: Attack of Legion,' has been announced, scheduled for release on November 26, 2022.
In the second film, 'Gamera 2: Attack of Legion,' Gamera boasts a sharper, more formidable design compared to its predecessor, with a slightly larger physique and significantly enhanced flight and maneuverability. To prevent the alien formidable foe 'Legion' from destroying Earth's ecosystem, Gamera unleashes the 'Ultimate Plasma Fireball' by opening its abdominal shell, utilizing Earth's Mana energy to eradicate Legion. However, this massive consumption of Mana also accelerated the hatching of 'Gyaos' eggs worldwide, leading to a rapid proliferation of individuals.
The "MOVIE MONSTER Gamera (1996)" is made of PVC soft vinyl and stands approximately 14 cm tall. Although it is a soft vinyl model priced at 2,420 JPY, the detailing is exceptionally exquisite, including the even more striking and formidable head, the wrinkles on its entire body, and the high-density, intricate patterns on its shell, all faithfully reproducing the suit design from the film.
