The Powerful and Affectionate Casanova! POP UP PARADE "Inuyasha" Miroku

Japanese toy brand GOOD SMILE COMPANY's affordable painted PVC figure series "POP UP PARADE" is scheduled to release a PVC product of the monk "Miroku", one of the important main characters from the classic work "Inuyasha", in May 2023!

"Inuyasha" was created by the renowned Japanese manga artist Rumiko Takahashi, known for works such as "Urusei Yatsura" and "Ranma ½". It began serialization in 1996 and concluded in 2008. The story follows the protagonist Kagome Higurashi, who, on her 15th birthday, is dragged into an old well at her shrine by a centipede demon. She travels through time to the Sengoku period 500 years in the past, where she meets the half-demon protagonist Inuyasha. Following a series of events, Kagome and Inuyasha embark on a journey to find the Shikon Jewel shards.

In the original work, Miroku claims to be a righteous monk but often performs fraudulent exorcisms for money. He is quite lecherous and constantly flirts with women. In reality, Miroku is afflicted by Naraku's curse, possessing a void called the Wind Tunnel (Kazaana) in his right hand, capable of sucking in any matter. His father and grandfather were ultimately consumed by the Wind Tunnel. To defeat Naraku and lift the curse, Miroku frequently asks women to bear his children to continue his lineage. He eventually falls in love with his traveling companion Sango. After defeating Naraku and breaking the curse, the two marry and have two daughters (twins named Kin'u and Gyokuto) and one son (Hisui).

This POP UP PARADE Miroku figure is based on his usual monk attire, holding his shakujo (staff) in his right hand, giving him a commanding presence. The figure stands approximately 17.5 cm tall. Fans of Inuyasha should consider adding this to their collection.
