Japan's Kotobukiya (KOTOBUKIYA) toy company's "ARTFX J" series, which creates exquisite three-dimensional figures of Japanese anime and game characters, will release a new "ARTFX J Chainsaw Man" 1/8 scale figure based on the popular anime "Chainsaw Man"! The suggested retail price is 18,480 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in June 2023.
"Chainsaw Man," a dark shonen manga created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, tells the story of Denji, an extremely impoverished protagonist in a world overrun by "devils." To pay off his deceased father's enormous debt, Denji becomes a Devil Hunter, earning money by slaying devils, and partners with the Chainsaw Devil "Pochita" to hunt them. In an accident, Pochita sacrifices himself, merging with Denji's heart through a contract, allowing Denji to revive and gain the ability to transform into a Chainsaw Devil. Because of this, he is noticed by the government's "Public Safety Devil Hunters Special Division."
The "ARTFX J Chainsaw Man" 1/8 scale figure, standing approximately 20 cm tall, captures Denji in his Chainsaw Man form, in a frenzied, tongue-out sprinting pose! The textured and intricate blood-red chainsaw head, a mouth full of sharp fangs, combined with the menacing chainsaw blades protruding from his head and both hands, and the blood-stained paintwork make the entire piece more vivid and brutal! The base features shattered rocks with rebar bursting out, along with damaged wooden tables and chairs, creating an atmosphere that emphasizes Chainsaw Man's wild intensity!
