Japanese figure manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY recently announced that the first product in their affordable pre-painted figure series "POP UP PARADE", "Tiz Arrior" from SQUARE ENIX's classic RPG "Bravely Default Flying Fairy", is expected to be released in April 2023.
In the role-playing game "Bravely Default" released by SQUARE ENIX in 2012, the protagonist Tiz Arrior was originally a simple shepherd boy with a strong sense of justice, a calm and kind personality. However, a sudden great chasm disaster swallowed his village, making Tiz the sole survivor, a "miracle person." He joins forces with the Wind Vestal Agnès Oblige, who came to investigate the chasm, the amnesiac youth Ringabel, and the Grand Marshal's only daughter Edea Lee, becoming the Four Warriors of Light to fight against the darkness. They travel across the vast world of Luxendarc, purifying the four elemental crystals that have been corrupted, searching for the source that threatens to consume the world.
"POP UP PARADE Tiz Arrior" is based on the image drawn by game artist Akihiko Yoshida and the game's chibi-style design. It faithfully recreates his shepherd's attire from the early game, complete with various items hanging from his waist. The figure captures the cute, cartoon-like proportions and facial features of the chibi style, with paintwork highlighting metallic colors on the sleeve patterns, belt buckles, and leather water bottle. The figure stands approximately 13 cm tall and is priced at 4,800 JPY (tax included). It is an excellent commemorative item as the game celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Furthermore, POP UP PARADE figures for the other three Warriors of Light, Agnès, Ringabel, and Edea, are also currently in development, with product information to be released sequentially at a later date!
