KOTOBUKIYA's "ARTFX J" series, known for its exquisite three-dimensional figures of Japanese anime and game characters, is once again featuring the popular anime "Chainsaw Man" with the release of the new "ARTFX J Makima" 1/8 scale figure, following the previous "Chainsaw Man" release! The suggested retail price is 16,280 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in July 2023.
Makima (マキマ) is Denji's superior and a Devil Hunter directly under the Cabinet Secretary. Her personality is unfathomable, and her background is quite mysterious. During a routine zombie devil hunt, she discovered Denji and, with an embrace, reverted his fiend form back to human, recruiting him into the Public Safety Devil Hunters. This led Denji to fall deeply for her. While appearing gentle, she is in fact a cold-blooded individual who refers to her subordinates as "dogs" and is indifferent to sacrificing them.
The "ARTFX J Makima" 1/8 scale figure stands approximately 22.5 cm tall. It meticulously recreates Makima in her signature shirt uniform, distinctive pink hair, and characteristic spiral eyes. Her calm posture with arms crossed, coupled with an unfathomable gaze and smile, exudes a polite yet chilling mystique. The folds in her clothing subtly highlight Makima's shapely figure, while her delicately braided hair gently sways, adding a sense of dynamic movement.
