Following the popular 'Shin' and 'Ouki' figures from the hit series 'Kingdom,' TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectible toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has once again announced its latest non-articulated character figure, 'Figuarts ZERO Ei Sei -Shutsjin-.' It will be priced at 11,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in August 2023!
In Yasuhisa Hara's 'Kingdom' universe, the main character, 'Ei Sei,' is a young boy who has just ascended to the throne as the King of Qin. He was forced into exile due to a coup d'état. Later, with the help of Shin and the mountain people, he quelled his younger brother Seikyou's 'Seikyou's Rebellion' and successfully reclaimed his royal power. His goal is to unify all the states, eliminate conflicts and turmoil between nations; he believes that only by confronting challenges with military force can he achieve this great unification. Even if he is reviled by future generations, he is determined to fight for a generation free from war.
The 'Figuarts ZERO Ei Sei -Shutsjin-' stands approximately 21 cm tall. Continuing the series' 'Shutsjin' (sortie) theme of riding a magnificent steed, this figure brings to life Ei Sei in his splendid armor, capturing his majestic and awe-inspiring kingly pose. The head sculpt faithfully recreates his black, center-parted long hair, with a shouting expression on his face complemented by resolute eyes, conveying both passion and dignity. The golden armor and the warhorse's mask feature metallic paintwork that adds a sense of weight and shines with extraordinary brilliance. The warhorse's mane is also meticulously sculpted. Interchangeable hand parts are included, allowing for display in a shouting pose with outstretched arms or a battle-ready stance with his sword drawn!
