British toy manufacturer First 4 Figures, known for creating exquisite statues based on various video game characters, following the release of "Revali," "Mipha," and "Urbosa" from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the final piece of the Four Champions puzzle, "Daruk" (ダルケル), has finally been officially unveiled! It is expected to ship in Q4 2023.
Daruk is a valiant warrior of the Goron tribe, known for his bold and passionate personality. He readily accepted Princess Zelda's invitation to become the pilot of the Divine Beast Vah Rudania and considers Link his good brother. Daruk excels at wielding the Boulder Breaker to attack monsters, and its power is even more formidable when combined with his spinning technique. His defense is also outstanding; even giant rocks falling from the summit of Death Mountain merely bounce off and shatter against Daruk's Protection. His only weakness is dogs. In the game, players can also control Link to use "Daruk's Protection," inherited from Daruk, which can defend against any attack.
This piece stands approximately 30 cm tall, faithfully capturing Daruk's unique Goron physique. His massive, powerful upper body and arms, paired with short legs, become increasingly endearing the more you look at them. Daruk's cheerful smile, white hair and beard, the blue Champion's Tunic draped over him, and the Boulder Breaker resting on his shoulder are all meticulously recreated. Details such as the metallic texture of his chains, the three-dimensional feel of his musculature, the carved ornamentation on the Boulder Breaker, and the Rudania pattern on his Champion's Tunic are all meticulously considered. The circular base, designed with the Sheikah Eye symbol, also features an LED light-up function with two lighting modes.
