Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya today announced the latest product in their popular "Frame Arms Girl" plastic model kit series, the "HAND SCALE Magatsuki", scheduled for release in September 2023.
The original design of Magatsuki comes from the "Frame Arms" series' lunar faction's base defense Frame Arms, the "NSG-Z0 Magatsuki". Designed by illustrator ToMo, its distinctive feature is its samurai armor-like additional armor, equipped with the greatsword weapon "TENKAI" and the wakizashi weapon "SATSUGA". The bishoujo (beautiful girl) rendition, "Frame Arms Girl Magatsuki", illustrated by Eiji Komatsu, inherits this additional armor and the greatsword and wakizashi armaments. The base body is designed as a Japanese-style beautiful girl with long, straight black hair, and her attire incorporates elements of Japanese Shinto (mythology).
The "Frame Arms Girl HAND SCALE Magatsuki" utilizes the design of the previously released standard-sized version, condensing intricate details into an 8cm tall articulated body. Its red-toned armor, various blue clear parts, and even the voluptuous hip sculpt are thoroughly reproduced. It also includes two pre-painted face parts for replacement: "normal face" and "damaged face".
With approximately 20 points of articulation throughout the body, the pull-out structure of the front skirt armor and the sliding mechanism of the hip joints further enhance the leg's range of motion. Combined with the included five pairs of sculpted hands, two sets of the greatsword "TENKAI", and the wakizashi "SATSUGA", you can enjoy a variety of cute poses and battle scenes!
