American toy manufacturer Hasbro's "Golden Archive" 6-inch action figure series, part of their Dungeons & Dragons product line, has announced its latest product, the "Owlbear (Brown)". The suggested retail price is $45.99 USD, with an anticipated release in October 2023.
The original monster from the fantasy role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons (D&D, or DnD) – the Owlbear – is an extremely brutal predator, generally considered fierce, aggressive, and ill-tempered. The Owlbear's appearance combines features of an owl and a bear, mixing thick feathers with brownish-black bear fur. They attack any creature they see and always fight to the death – they grab prey with their sharp claws and use powerful bear hugs to crush their bones and tear them apart.
The Hasbro "Golden Archive Owlbear (Brown)" action figure faithfully recreates the classic D&D monster in a 6-inch scale, capturing its intimidating, piercing eyes, detailed full-body feathering, and robust arms. It features excellent articulation and includes 2 interchangeable paw parts, allowing it to be displayed on all fours or standing on two legs. When standing, it measures approximately 8.46 inches tall with a wingspan of 7.7 inches, allowing collectors to fully enjoy its ferocious hunting poses.
