Old machines are still the most beautiful! Hong Kong toy designer "Philip Lee"'s toy company "Playsometoys" will launch the yellowed limited edition (Yellowed Limited Edition) of the Macintosh computer-themed robot toy "Classicbot Mini 6 inch", a collaboration between its brand "Classicbot" and designer brand "Inscape Studio".
Classicbot, a toy brand that often draws inspiration from old Apple products such as the Macintosh 128k computer or the first-generation iPod, already launched the "Classicbot Mini 6 inch" toy robot, modeled after the Macintosh 128k computer, in collaboration with Inscape Studio in October 2022. Not only is it cuter than the original Classicbot, but its 6-inch (approximately 15.2 cm) height allows for more intricate details and makes it more suitable for play. Paired with a vintage-style 60% keyboard and a black 3.5-inch floppy disk, it looks even more adorable. It sold out after its release.
This new special edition, the "Yellowed Limited Edition," takes inspiration from the yellowed plastic casings of old computers that many PC users have experienced sitting in a corner of their homes. Featuring this color tone for its exterior, paired with a light pink, slightly smudged label on the 3.5-inch floppy disk, it elevates the overall sense of nostalgia, as if transporting us back to the glorious era of the past.
This special yellowed limited edition is limited to 50 units worldwide. Ten of these will be available for purchase at the "Thailand Toy Expo," while the remaining 40 will go on sale on April 14, 2023, at 9:00 AM (Taiwan and Hong Kong time) on the Inscape website. Friends who are fond of this Macintosh computer-inspired toy design should definitely not miss this opportunity.
