Following the release of Strike Gundam and Duel Gundam, the robot-themed action figure series 'ROBOT魂 ver. A.N.I.M.E.', issued by BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Toy Department TAMASHII NATIONS in Japan, today announced that detailed information for its latest additions from 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED' – 'Blitz Gundam,' 'Buster Gundam,' and 'Aegis Gundam' – will be revealed on April 13th.
The five mobile suits – Strike Gundam, Duel Gundam, Blitz Gundam, Buster Gundam, and Aegis Gundam – are the first-generation GAT-X series mobile suits secretly developed by the Atlantic Federation in the series. They feature a common frame, armor, instruments, and weapons that can be quickly changed for maintenance or upgrades, and are capable of utilizing beam weapons. Furthermore, the entire series is equipped with the PS (Phase Shift) armor system, which nullifies solid projectiles and physical blade armaments, making them a formidable adversary for the Z.A.F.T. military, which lacked beam weapon technology at the time. However, they were later preemptively seized by the Z.A.F.T. military, with all but the Strike Gundam falling into Z.A.F.T.'s hands.
