BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS today announced the latest product from the robot-themed action figure line, "ROBOT SPIRITS ver. A.N.I.M.E." series, the 'Cgue' from 'Mobile Suit Gundam SEED', scheduled for release in September 2023.
The ZGMF-515 Cgue is a mass-produced mobile suit developed by the Z.A.F.T. military based on the ZGMF-1017 GINN, with most units piloted by battlefield commanders. Its overall design continues the GINN's high versatility, with enhanced basic performance and numerous thrusters added throughout its body to strengthen its mobility in space. However, this unit had not yet incorporated beam weaponry. In the series, it was primarily piloted by Z.A.F.T. military's masked man, Rau Le Creuset, whose excellent piloting skills and spatial awareness allowed the Cgue's mobility to rival that of the Aile Strike Gundam.
The 'ROBOT SPIRITS Cgue ver. A.N.I.M.E.' faithfully recreates the sharp lines of the head, shoulders, side skirts, and back thrusters based on the anime's design sketches. Its gray and white color scheme is accented with multiple red paint applications, enhancing its formidable and cool appearance. The overall articulation inherits the design of the previous GINN, with flexible movement in the head, limbs, and back thrusters. It also features pull-out shoulder joints for more natural posing, and a three-segment independent articulation structure for the chest, abdomen, and waist, allowing the upper body to bend significantly forward.
For weaponry, it includes three types of projectile weapons: the MMI-M7S 76mm Heavy Assault Machine Gun, M7070 28mm Vulcan System Shield, and MA-M4A Heavy Sword. These can be combined with various interchangeable hand parts and effect parts to recreate muzzle flashes from the machine gun and vulcan cannon, as well as thruster flames from the back thrusters, bringing to life the cool battle scenes from the series!
