The latest product from the Japanese MECHA SMILE brand's "MODEROID" model kit series, "RACING MIKU 2022Ver." from the "Hatsune Miku GT Project," was announced today, with an anticipated release in December 2023.
"RACING MIKU" serves as the official ambassador for the Japanese racing team GOODSMILE RACING (GSR). Since the "Hatsune Miku GT Project" began in 2008, a different illustrator has been commissioned each year to design her with unique outfits and appearances. This new design is then strikingly emblazoned on the race car for that season. The 2022 version, released this time, features an illustration by the highly active and renowned artist neco, under the direction of Shigetoshi Koyama.
Once assembled, the "MODEROID RACING MIKU 2022Ver." stands approximately 16 cm tall. It utilizes multi-color molded parts, pre-painted parts, and water-slide decals to faithfully recreate artist neco's design. Included are a pre-painted "normal face" and additional "normal face" and "smiling face" parts where users can apply water-slide decals to create different eye directions. Each joint features flexible articulation, allowing for dynamic poses with the included flag and microphone. Furthermore, transparent parts like the visor can be displayed in an open position using interchangeable parts.
