Japanese model manufacturer GOOD SMILE COMPANY's mechanical-themed brand MECHA SMILE today unveiled the prototype for its latest product, "Super Combined Knight DX Full Power Gridknight," from the theatrical anime film GRIDMAN UNIVERSE, as part of its completed transforming/combining toy series "THE GATTAI." The release date is yet to be determined.
The theatrical film GRIDMAN UNIVERSE returns to Tsutsujidai, the computer world where protagonists Yuta, Rikka, and others live, which served as the setting for the first work, SSSS.GRIDMAN. It brings together main characters like Yomogi and Yume from the sequel SSSS.DYNAZENON for a dream co-starring performance! After Akane Shinjo, who created kaiju, returned to the real world and the mastermind Alexis Kerib was defeated by GRIDMAN, Tsutsujidai welcomed peaceful daily life. However, just half a year later, mysterious kaiju reappeared due to the influence of multiverse convergence, prompting the GRIDMAN Alliance to reassemble!
The "THE GATTAI Super Combined Knight DX Full Power Gridknight" revealed this time is a toy crafted with precise combining and transforming mechanisms, recreating the form achieved by combining Gridknight (Anti) from the series with the support mecha transformed by the New Century Junior High Students. Unlike the "Super Combined Superman DX Full Power Gridman" released in 2019, this product features completely new sculpting, new design, and new molds. Its overall size, proportions, and detailed sculpting differ from and are more evolved than the 2019 version. It can similarly recreate various forms such as Full Power Gridknight and POWERED KNIGHT ZENON through its transforming and combining mechanism!
