Japanese toy manufacturer "BUSHIROAD CREATIVE"'s new brand "PalVerse" is set to launch its first product in August 2023: a series of mini PVC collectible figures based on the popular anime My Hero Academia (僕のヒーローアカデミア)! There will be six different designs, each priced at 1,100 JPY.
Japanese toy manufacturer "BUSHIROAD CREATIVE," which also owns gashapon brands like "TAMAKYU," recently launched its new brand PalVerse, focusing on palm-sized, chibi-style character figures. The My Hero Academia series marks the brand's inaugural release.
My Hero Academia (often abbreviated as "MHA") began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014, with its latest sixth season of the anime concluding its broadcast in March 2023. The story follows protagonist Izuku Midoriya, who, despite being born without a "Quirk," dreams of becoming a hero like the famous All Might. Through a twist of fate, he learns All Might's true identity and inherits his Quirk, "One For All," subsequently enrolling in U.A. High School where he meets many new people. One of the original work's distinguishing features is its exaggerated, American comic-book-style action.
This PalVerse collectible figure blind box Vol.1 features six characters: protagonist Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, and Denki Kaminari. Each character stands approximately 90mm tall, making them perfect for display or play.
