To commemorate the first anniversary of the life-sized "RX-93ff ν Gundam" statue in Fukuoka, Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division today announced that the latest commemorative product, "BB Senshi MSN-04FF Sazabi," will be released starting May 3, 2023, at GUNDAM SIDE-F in Fukuoka.
The MSN-04FF Sazabi is a mobile suit that appeared in a special video screened at the unveiling of the life-sized "RX-93ff ν Gundam" statue in Fukuoka. Like the RX-93ff ν Gundam, its design is based on "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack," but it features a new original armament not seen in the anime: the "Double Horn Funnel." These large, pincer-like funnels are usually mounted on the backpack and can be remotely controlled to fire beam cannons individually, combine to fire a large beam cannon, or be held in both hands as large beam sabers.
The "BB Senshi MSN-04FF Sazabi" is based on the previously released standard kit, featuring a movable head camera and various joint mechanisms. In addition to replacing the molded parts with colors closer to those in the video, new parts are used to recreate this version's most distinctive, lobster-claw-like armament, the "Double Horn Funnel." It can reproduce the appearance of being equipped on both arms, or the combined flight form of the two cannons. It also includes standard armaments such as the beam shotgun and shield.
